Truecaller is preparing to show LinkedIn verification information alongside caller identity, adding professional context to calls and messages from people a recipient may not already know.
The integration is part of an expansion of the Verified on LinkedIn programme, according to reporting by The Daily Star. LinkedIn is bringing the programme to Truecaller and the professional review platform PeerSpot.
What the indicator will tell you
The planned feature will indicate when someone contacting a Truecaller user has a verified LinkedIn profile. LinkedIn says the partnership allows verified profiles to connect with participating services without a separate verification process.
LinkedIn reported that more than 115 million members had verified their identity or workplace. That figure covers its own verification programme; it does not mean all those people already have a badge on Truecaller.
Availability remains the missing detail
The companies have not specified when the indicator will reach every Truecaller user or whether every verified LinkedIn profile will qualify. The reporting does not establish a Bangladesh rollout date.
For professionals handling unfamiliar work calls, the potential benefit is more context before answering. The feature should still be understood as an identity signal, rather than proof that a particular request is legitimate.
A badge cannot explain why someone is calling or establish that a payment request, job offer or document is genuine. Those questions still require their own checks, even when the caller’s professional identity is easier to recognise.
